Dump truck classification

Dump truck, also known as dump car (tipper, dump car), is an important special-purpose vehicle that relies on its own power to drive a hydraulic lifting mechanism so that the cargo box has the function of automatic dumping and resetting.
Dump trucks mainly transport sand, stone, soil, garbage, building materials, coal, ore, grain and agricultural products and other bulk and bulk cargo. Its greatest advantage is to realize the mechanization of unloading, thereby improving unloading efficiency, reducing labor intensity and saving labor. Therefore, it has been rapidly developed and popularized at home and abroad for decades. So far, its possession has accounted for about 25% of special-purpose vehicles, and it has become more and more perfect and has become a series of products with multiple varieties. It has the following multiple classification methods.

1. Classified by purpose
 Generally, it is divided into two categories according to the purpose:-the ordinary dump truck for road transportation; the other is the heavy dump truck for off-road transportation, which is mainly used for loading and unloading operations in mining areas and large and medium-sized civil engineering.
2. Classified by loading quality level
Can be divided into light dump trucks (the loading mass is generally less than 3.5t); medium dump trucks (4t ~ 8t); heavy dump trucks at 8t).
3. Classified by transmission type
can be divided into three types: mechanical transmission, hydraulic mechanical transmission and electric transmission. Dump trucks with a load of less than 30t mainly adopt mechanical transmission; heavy dump trucks with a load of 80t or more adopt electric transmission.
4. Classified by way of unloading
There are many forms such as backward tilting, side tilting, three-sided dumping, bottom dumping, and cargo box rising backward tilting. Among them, the backward tilting is the most widely used. Side dump type is only suitable for occasions where the lane is narrow and the direction of unloading is difficult to change. The lifting and tilting type of the cargo box is suitable for the occasions of stacking goods, changing cargo positions and unloading goods to high places. The bottom dump type and three-side dump type are used in a few special occasions.
5. Classified by dumping mechanism
There are direct push dump trucks and lever lift dump trucks. The direct push type can be subdivided into single-cylinder, double-cylinder, multi-stage, etc. Leverage type can be subdivided into lever front type, lever rear type, lever middle type and so on.
6. Classified by car structure
According to the fence structure, it is divided into one-side open type, three-side open type, and no back fence type (dustpan type). According to the cross-sectional shape of the bottom plate, it can be divided into rectangular type, ship bottom type, and arc bottom type.
