The use of dump truck

Dump truck has the advantages of high mobility and mechanization of unloading, which greatly shortens the transportation time and saves labor.

The goods suitable for loading and unloading of dump trucks are mainly piled goods, such as sand, stones, coal, soil, ores, etc. It is also suitable for steel, long materials and logs, etc. It is also used to transport bulk goods. Therefore, dump trucks are widely used in mines, construction projects, factories, warehouses, stations, construction sites, docks and other places. They are closely related to metallurgy, mining, transportation construction, and construction, and play an important role in economic construction.
The curb weight of a dump truck is slightly larger than that of a general-purpose truck of the corresponding tonnage, but its unloading speed is fast and its work efficiency is high. This makes it different from general-purpose trucks in terms of economic distance (referring to the distance from the loading yard to the unloading yard).

Conditions for the use of dump trucks:
1. In order to improve the efficiency of transportation production, dump trucks are usually used in conjunction with shovel loaders or belt conveyors to realize all transportation and loading mechanization.
2. In order to give full play to the advantages of dump truck unloading mechanization, the transportation distance is generally shorter. The transportation distance of ordinary dump trucks below medium tonnage is not more than 10km; the transportation distance of heavy-duty mining dump trucks with large tonnage is shorter, generally 3-5km, and more than 3km. Generally speaking, the meaning that dump trucks are suitable for short-distance transportation is from the perspective of economic analysis and practical use, not the limitation of vehicle performance. Dump trucks can still run long-distance, but it is not economical. When the transportation distance is long, the transportation cost of the dump truck is higher than that of the truck, which is mainly due to the larger self-weight of the dump truck.
